- Crankshaft A: Connecting Rod I -> Plain Bearing Black
- Crankshaft A: Connecting Rod II -> Plain Bearing Blue
- Crankshaft B: Connecting Rod I -> Plain Bearing Red
- Crankshaft B: Connecting Rod II -> Plain Bearing Black
Piston Installation
Reverse the removal procedure for installation. Pay attention to the following details.
Apply engine oil on the piston pin.
Insert piston pin into piston and connecting rod.
Note: Make sure the mounting direction of the piston is correct.
For each cylinder, install piston with the arrow on piston dome pointing toward the transmission of the engine.
For each cylinder, install piston with the arrow on piston dome pointing toward the transmission of the engine.
Front cylinder: Arrow on top of piston must show to intake side.
Rear cylinder: Arrow on top of piston must show to exhaust side.
Rear cylinder: Arrow on top of piston must show to exhaust side.
Use needle-nose pliers to assemble the NEW piston circlip.
Warning: Replace removed piston circlip(s) with new ones every time.
Place a rag on cylinder base to avoid dropping the circlip inside the engine.
