Piston Installation Guide
Reverse the removal procedure for installation. Pay attention to the following details.
Apply engine oil on the piston pin.
Insert the piston pin into the piston and connecting rod.
Note: Make sure the mounting direction of the piston is correct.
For each cylinder, install piston with the arrow on piston dome pointing toward the transmission of the engine.
Note: The connecting rods and the two marked connecting rods have a "-0JY0" marking, which should face outward on both sides of the crankshaft (the connecting rods with the "-0JY0" marking should face outward uniformly).
Front Cylinder: Arrow on top of piston must show to intake side.
Rear Cylinder: Arrow on top of piston must show to exhaust side.
Use needle-nose pliers to assemble the NEW piston circlip.
Warning: Replace removed piston circlip(s) with new ones every time.
Place a rag on cylinder base to avoid dropping the circlip inside the engine.
