SUZUKI GN125/GS125 Rectifier (Voltage Regulator)
Fits 125cc-150cc Engines
5-Wire · OEM Specification · Plug & Play
This rectifier (voltage regulator) is commonly used on SUZUKI GN125, GS125 and other 125cc-150cc engine models. It is a core component of the motorcycle charging system, converting AC from the alternator to DC, charging the battery, and regulating voltage output to protect the entire electrical system[citation:2][citation:3].
✨ OEM Quality: Manufactured to exact original specifications using quality electronic components, ensuring stable voltage output and reliable performance.
The purpose of a rectifier is to prevent the capacitor from discharging prior to ignition (turning the key). Upon ignition, the rectifier stops charging the capacitor, allowing the capacitor to transfer the 400-600 Volt charge to the ignition coil.
📌 Function in charging system: The rectifier converts AC from the alternator to DC, charging the battery and powering electrical components such as lights and horn[citation:3]. Without it, the battery would quickly drain and the vehicle would not run for extended periods[citation:2].
5-wire configuration:
- Socket 1 (2 wires, 6mm female blades): Red, Black
- Socket 2 (3 wires, 6mm male blades): Yellow (x3)
Wiring notes: The 3 yellow wires connect to the alternator three-phase output, red/black connect to the vehicle DC system (red positive, black negative/ground).
- SUZUKI GN125 (all years)
- SUZUKI GS125 (all years)
- Other 125cc-150cc SUZUKI models using the same electrical system
📌 Compatibility note: Fits SUZUKI GN125/GS125 series with three-phase alternator and 5-wire rectifier configuration. Verify your original rectifier wiring before ordering.
📌 Failure Indication:
If you experience battery drain, dim lights, or voltage instability, the rectifier may be faulty. Replace promptly to ensure proper electrical system operation.
