CG Cam Follower Assembly · Lower Rocker Arm
🔧 Cam Follower · Lower Rocker Arm · Tappet · CG125/CG150 Engine · Valve Train Component
For CG125 · CG150 4-Stroke Engines · Standard Quality · Cost-Effective Replacement
This is the CG Cam Follower Assembly (Lower Rocker Arm), a standard quality replacement for the valve train in CG125 and CG150 4-stroke engines. Specifically designed for CG series engines, this component is suitable for motorcycles, ATVs, and various other vehicles, making it a cost-effective choice for engine rebuilds or performance restoration.
The cam follower (also known as lower rocker arm or tappet) is a critical component of the engine's valve train, positioned between the camshaft and pushrod. It converts the rotational motion of the camshaft into reciprocating motion to drive the pushrod, which then activates the upper rocker arm to control valve opening and closing. Manufactured from high-quality materials with precision machining and heat treatment, this component offers good wear resistance and reliability.
✨ Core Functions: Transmit camshaft power · Convert rotational motion to reciprocating motion · Drive pushrod to control valves · Withstand camshaft impact loads

💨 Common Symptoms
• Unusual engine noise (rhythmic metallic tapping)
• Loss of power, poor acceleration
• Valve clearance cannot be adjusted consistently
• Bent or dislodged pushrods
• Increased oil consumption
• Unstable idle
🔍 Possible Causes
• Wear on contact surface from prolonged use
• Abnormal wear due to poor lubrication
• Material fatigue or improper heat treatment
• Camshaft wear causing abnormal impact
• Improper installation or incorrect clearance adjustment
⚠️ Important Note: Worn or damaged cam followers can cause insufficient valve lift and incorrect valve timing. In severe cases, this may lead to bent pushrods, valve-to-piston collision, and serious engine damage. If you notice abnormalities, inspect and replace promptly.
This cam follower assembly fits vehicles equipped with CG125 and CG150 4-stroke engines, including but not limited to:
💡 Compatibility Note: This cam follower assembly is suitable for CG125 and CG150 engines. During installation, it is recommended to inspect the condition of the camshaft, pushrods, and upper rocker arms, and replace them if necessary.
- High-Quality Material: Manufactured from premium alloy steel or ductile iron for high strength and excellent wear resistance.
- Precision Machining: Contact surface precision-ground for high finish and smooth interaction with the camshaft.
- Hardened Surface: Contact surface hardened to improve wear resistance and fatigue strength, extending service life.
- Accurate Dimensions: Manufactured to exact OEM specifications for proper fitment.
- Standard Quality: Standard quality manufacturing offers a cost-effective alternative to original components.
- Restores Performance: Replacing worn cam followers eliminates valve noise and restores proper valve train operation.
🔧 Installation Guide
1. Remove the cylinder head cover and cylinder head to access the camshaft and cam followers.
2. Remove the camshaft holder and take out the camshaft.
3. Remove the cam follower assembly from the side of the cylinder block, noting the installation position.
4. Clean the cam follower mounting hole and pushrods, and inspect pushrods for bending or wear.
5. Apply a small amount of engine oil to the contact surface of the new cam follower for lubrication.
6. Insert the cam follower into the mounting hole, ensuring proper positioning.
7. Install the camshaft, ensuring correct contact between the camshaft and cam followers.
8. Install the camshaft holder and tighten bolts to specified torque.
9. Install pushrods and upper rocker arms, then adjust valve clearance to specification (Intake: 0.05-0.08mm, Exhaust: 0.08-0.12mm).
10. Reinstall the cylinder head and cylinder head cover, start the engine, and check for unusual noise.
Important Note: Ensure proper alignment between cam followers, pushrods, and camshaft during installation. Professional installation is strongly recommended.
Spec Confirmation: Before purchasing, verify your engine model to ensure compatibility.
Installation Note: Valve clearance must be readjusted after installation. Ensure proper alignment between cam followers, pushrods, and camshaft. Professional installation is strongly recommended.
Recommended Parts: When replacing cam followers, it is recommended to inspect the camshaft, pushrods, upper rocker arms, and valve oil seals for wear, and replace them if necessary. Product images are for reference only; actual product may vary.
