CG Rocker Arm Adjusting Screw
🔧 Rocker Arm Screw · Valve Adjusting Screw · Tappet Adjusting Screw · CG Series Specific
Excellent Replacement for Original Rocker Arm Screw · For CG125, CG150, CG200 Engines · Precise Valve Clearance Adjustment
This is the CG Rocker Arm Adjusting Screw — an excellent replacement for the motorcycle's original rocker arm screw. This component is a critical part of the engine valve train, used to precisely adjust valve clearance, ensuring valves open and close at the correct timing.
The rocker arm adjusting screw is installed on the valve rocker arm. By turning the screw in or out, it changes the distance between the screw tip and the valve stem, thereby adjusting valve clearance. Correct valve clearance is essential for engine performance: excessive clearance causes insufficient valve lift and engine noise; insufficient clearance causes poor sealing, power loss, and even valve burning. Manufactured from high-quality steel with precise threads and reliable locking, this screw is the ideal choice for valve adjustment and engine overhaul.
✨ Core Functions: Precisely adjust valve clearance · Ensure correct valve timing · Reduce engine noise · Restore engine performance · Quality replacement

🎯 Valve Clearance Adjustment
Precisely adjusts the gap between the valve stem and rocker arm by turning the screw in or out for accurate valve timing.
🔇 Reduces Engine Noise
Proper valve clearance eliminates tapping noise for quieter engine operation.
⚙️ Restores Engine Performance
Correct valve clearance ensures full valve lift and complete sealing, restoring power and fuel economy.
🔧 Prevents Valve Damage
Prevents insufficient clearance causing poor sealing and valve burning, or excessive clearance causing inadequate valve lift.
⚠️ Symptoms of Rocker Arm Screw Failure: Valve clearance cannot be maintained, lock nut loosening causing clearance variation, engine noise (tapping), power loss, rough idle, damaged threads. If these issues occur, inspect and replace the rocker arm adjusting screw promptly.
This rocker arm adjusting screw is compatible with the following engines and vehicles:
- Engine Types: CG125, CG150, CG200 4-stroke engines
- Vehicle Types: Honda CG series, Chinese-made CG series motorcycles, dirt bikes, street bikes
- Mounting Location: On valve rocker arm, used with lock nut
- Applications: Valve clearance adjustment, engine noise repair, valve train overhaul, worn screw replacement
📌 Compatibility Note: This rocker arm adjusting screw is specifically designed for CG series engines as a standard replacement for the original valve adjustment screw. It is recommended to inspect the lock nut condition and replace if necessary.
- High-Quality Alloy Steel: Made from high-strength alloy steel with precise threads for strength and wear resistance.
- Precision Threads: Accurately machined threads for smooth adjustment, precise positioning, and reliable locking.
- Case-Hardened Tip: The tip that contacts the valve stem is case-hardened for wear resistance and stable clearance retention.
- Rust Protection: Zinc-plated or anti-rust surface treatment for corrosion resistance and long service life.
- OEM Specification Standards: Manufactured to CG series original specifications for perfect fitment.
- Essential Valve Train Component: The rocker arm adjusting screw is a key component for valve clearance adjustment — this product is critical for restoring engine performance.
🔧 Installation & Adjustment Guide
1. Ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the negative battery terminal before starting.
2. Remove the valve cover and rotate the crankshaft to compression top dead center (TDC) so the valve being adjusted is fully closed.
3. Loosen the lock nut and unscrew the old adjusting screw; inspect the threads for damage.
4. Install the new adjusting screw, turning it in until it lightly contacts the valve stem tip.
5. Use a feeler gauge to adjust valve clearance (cold engine: intake 0.08-0.10mm, exhaust 0.10-0.12mm).
6. While adjusting, turn the screw until the feeler gauge has slight resistance when inserted.
7. Hold the adjusting screw in position and tighten the lock nut; recheck clearance to ensure it hasn't changed.
8. Repeat the process for the other valve, reinstall the valve cover, start the engine, and check for proper operation.
Spec Confirmation: Before purchasing, verify that your original rocker arm screw specifications match this product to ensure compatibility.
Installation Caution: Valve clearance adjustment must be performed on a cold engine using a proper feeler gauge. Hold the adjusting screw in position while tightening the lock nut to maintain stable clearance. Professional installation and adjustment are recommended.
