CG Tappet Component
🔧 Tappet · Valve Tappet · Push Rod Component · CG Series Specific
Excellent Replacement for Original Tappet Component · For CG125, CG150, CG200 Engines · Size: 7×142mm
This is the CG Tappet Component — an excellent replacement for the motorcycle's original tappet component. This component is a critical part of the engine valve train, responsible for transmitting camshaft motion to the valves to control valve opening and closing.
The tappet (also known as valve tappet or push rod) is installed in the cylinder head between the camshaft and the valve. When the camshaft rotates, the cam lobe pushes the tappet, which then transfers motion to the valve rocker arm or directly to the valve to open it. Manufactured from high-quality steel with heat treatment for excellent wear resistance and fatigue strength, this tappet ensures reliable operation. This is the perfect replacement when the original tappet suffers from wear, bending, or surface damage causing abnormal valve clearance or engine noise.
✨ Core Functions: Transmit camshaft motion · Actuate valve opening · Withstand reciprocating impact loads · Ensure accurate valve timing · Quality replacement

🔄 Motion Transfer
Converts camshaft rotational motion into linear reciprocating motion to actuate the valve or push rod.
⚙️ Valve Actuation
Directly or indirectly pushes the valve to control opening timing and lift.
🛡️ Withstands Impact
Handles high-frequency reciprocating impact loads from camshaft rotation, requiring excellent wear and fatigue resistance.
🔧 Clearance Adjustment
Tappet length directly affects valve clearance — correct specification is essential for proper operation.
⚠️ Symptoms of Tappet Component Failure: Engine noise (sharp tapping or clicking), abnormal valve clearance, power loss, rough idle, insufficient valve lift, worn or pitted tappet surface. If these issues occur, inspect and replace the tappet component promptly.
This tappet component is compatible with the following engines and vehicles:

🔧 Installation Guide
1. Ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the negative battery terminal before starting.
2. Remove the valve cover, disassemble the rocker arm assembly, and remove the old tappet.
3. Inspect the tappet bore in the cylinder head for wear or damage; clean the bore thoroughly.
4. Apply a small amount of engine oil to the tappet surface before installation for proper lubrication.
5. Insert the new tappet into the bore, ensuring smooth movement without binding.
6. Reinstall the rocker arm assembly and tighten mounting bolts to the specified torque.
7. Adjust valve clearance to specification (cold engine: intake 0.08-0.10mm, exhaust 0.10-0.12mm).
8. Reinstall the valve cover with a new gasket, start the engine, and check for proper operation.
9. It is recommended to inspect the camshaft and rocker arms for wear and replace if necessary.
Spec Confirmation: Before purchasing, verify that your original tappet specification is 7×142mm to ensure compatibility.
