CG Valve Spring
🔧 Valve Spring · CG125/CG150 Engine · Valve Train Component
For CG125 · CG150 4-Stroke Engines · Intake and Exhaust Valve Springs
This is the CG Valve Spring, a high-quality replacement for the original valve spring in CG125 and CG150 4-stroke engines. Specifically designed for CG series engines, this valve spring is suitable for motorcycles, ATVs, and various other vehicles, making it the ideal choice for engine rebuilds or performance restoration.
The valve spring is a critical component of the engine's valve train, installed on the valve stem. Its function is to return the valve to its closed position after the camshaft opens it, ensuring a tight seal between the valve and valve seat to maintain combustion chamber sealing. Manufactured from high-quality spring steel wire with precision heat treatment, this valve spring offers stable elasticity and excellent fatigue resistance.
✨ Core Functions: Return valve to closed position · Maintain valve-to-seat seal · Prevent valve float · Ensure accurate valve timing

💨 Common Symptoms
• Unstable idle, stalling
• Loss of power, poor acceleration
• Unusual engine noise (metallic tapping)
• Power loss at high RPM
• Poor valve seating causing low compression
• In severe cases, valve-to-piston interference
🔍 Possible Causes
• Spring fatigue and loss of tension from prolonged use
• Spring fracture (material fatigue or stress concentration)
• Spring resonance from engine over-revving
• Spring damage from improper installation
• Spring annealing and softening from high-temperature operation
⚠️ Important Note: Valve spring failure is a serious engine issue that can prevent the valve from closing properly, potentially causing valve-to-piston collision and severe engine damage. If you experience the symptoms above, inspect and replace the valve springs promptly.
This valve spring fits vehicles equipped with CG125 and CG150 4-stroke engines, including but not limited to:
💡 Compatibility Note: This valve spring is suitable for both intake and exhaust valves on CG125 and CG150 engines. It is recommended to replace both intake and exhaust valve springs at the same time to ensure consistent spring force.
- High-Quality Spring Steel Wire: Manufactured from premium spring steel wire for excellent elasticity and toughness.
- Precision Heat Treatment: Precision heat treatment process eliminates internal stress, improving fatigue resistance and service life.
- Stable Spring Force: Consistent spring force ensures timely valve closure and proper valve timing.
- Rust-Proof Finish: Surface treated for corrosion resistance to withstand engine operating conditions.
- OEM Specification: Manufactured to exact CG series engine factory specifications for a perfect replacement of worn original springs.
- Safe and Reliable: Effectively prevents valve float and spring fracture, ensuring safe engine operation.
🔧 Installation Guide
1. Remove the cylinder head and secure it on a suitable fixture.
2. Use a valve spring compressor tool to compress the valve spring and remove the valve collets.
3. Slowly release the compressor and remove the valve spring retainer and valve spring.
4. Clean the valve spring seat and inspect valve guide wear.
5. Install the new valve spring, paying attention to orientation (the tightly wound end typically faces the cylinder head).
6. Install the valve spring retainer and use the valve spring compressor to compress the spring.
7. Install the valve collets, ensuring they are fully seated in the valve stem grooves.
8. Slowly release the compressor and verify that the collets are securely installed.
9. After installation, check valve sealing.
Important Note: Use specialized tools for valve spring installation to prevent injury from spring release. It is recommended to replace valve oil seals and valve collets at the same time. Professional installation is strongly recommended.
Spec Confirmation: Before purchasing, verify your engine model to ensure compatibility. It is recommended to replace both intake and exhaust valve springs at the same time to maintain consistent spring force.
Installation Note: Valve spring installation requires specialized tools. Pay attention to spring orientation (tightly wound end facing the cylinder head). Professional installation is strongly recommended.
Recommended Parts: When replacing valve springs, it is recommended to also replace valve oil seals and valve collets to ensure rebuild quality. Product images are for reference only; actual product may vary.
